Waiting....

I'm waiting for Halloween! It is my favorite holiday. You can imagine that as a writer of fantastic fiction, I enjoy dressing up as fantasy characters and seeing others dressed similarly. I'm also waiting for the release of my book, The Last Guardian. It is in the final stages and should be released anytime. The publisher has had some problems. Ike, the terrible storm that hit Texas, also hit my publisher who is in a northern state. They were without power for several days. Then, when power was finally restored, their computers went down. I expect things to get back to normal there soon and hopefully, The Last Guardian will be released soon. Also, I'm waiting for Dark Moon, my horror novel written with Beverley Bateman, to be sent to me for final editing soon. I hope it is released before the end of the year, or at least before Epicon, the writer and publisher's convention to be held in Las Vegas in March. I'm still waiting for my back to stop hurting. I still have pains going down my right leg when I stand or sit for a long time, and even when I lie down sometimes. I was told that should pass but it may take up to 18 months. I'm going back to the surgeon for follow-up in a few days and maybe I'll find out more about that then. In the mean time, there is an election about to happen and I've been very impressed with Sarah Palin! Didn't care much for anyone who is running until she came along. I like her a lot. But that is just me. Obama and Biden will probably win. That's just what we need. Two lawyers! I haven't done any writing since my back surgery. Thought I'd do better if I waited until the pain went away, but it looks like I'm going to have to write with the pain, so I guess I'd better get started. See you next time.
