What a Christmas gift!!

I had a heart attack the day before Christmas Eve. I was taken to the local hospital by some wonderful EMS people. The first responder crew showed up first and did a terrific job until the paramedics got there. (Paramedics had to travel 15 miles and the first responders only had to travel 5--That's life in the country) It seemed no time at all between my call and the arrival of EMS. Anyway, I was taken to the local hospital(Which has no surgery) and spent the night there while they confirmed that I had indeed suffered a heart attack and kept me from having another one before they got me to the right place. I was shipped to a bigger hospital in an adjoining county. They did some tests including a cardiac catheterization, and determined that I needed surgery. So they shipped me to Little Rock 160 miles south. That was on Christmas Day. They decided to do a tripple bypass the next day. On that day they did a quadruple bypass which I needed. I am now at home recouperating. I will make the trip to Little Rock Wedensday for follow-up with the surgeon. Perhaps after this is all taken care of I will be able to get back to writing. Writing is soooo hard!
