I went to see the new Star Trek movie by JJ Abrams last night and enjoyed it! That in spite of all the harsh words floating around the internet concerning this new version of the old show. Sure there were some plot holes but all in all it was ver enjoyable. I found the new Spock to fit in perfectly. He was Spock as a younger person and fit the part like a glove. The young Kirk didn't mimic the Shatner version although he looked the part, he didn't have the same style as Shatner. That was a little distracting at first but once the thing got rolling, it could be ignored. McCoy was McCoy and Scotty was Scotty. The effects were first class and it was quite well done. I'm not used to reviewing movies, so this is not what you are probably expecting, just my impression as a fan. Steve
